Different countries favor different Christmas Cakes. For example, in Scotland, the Scottish cherish the Whisky Dundee holiday cake. It is made with raisins and cherries. It is considered a fruitcake, but it isn't particularly rich or moist, and doesn't have to comprise nuts. The Japanese love to make a primary Christmas cake that is like and spongy. It is frosted with whipped cream and decorated with strawberries and chocolates and other holiday favorites. The Japanese serve a Christmas cake on Christmas Eve. A favorite Christmas cake in the states is the mincemeat cake. Vegetarians love this delectable, because it can be made with vegetarian mincemeat mixed with flour, eggs, etc. It can also be steamed to produce a Christmas pudding. Americans also pride themselves in novelty holiday cakes that are shaped like a Christmas tree, snowman or Santa Claus. These cakes are ordinarily made from a white, yellow or chocolate batter and preferred with colorful icings and candies. The British take pride in their rich yellow pound cake filled with nuts or fruits and topped off with lots of alcohol like brandy or rum that is mixed with sugar and water.
